Hello there...
its that time of year again, where finals are approaching and I am starting to get a little stressed out. As finals approach and projects and papers are piling up, I need to buckle down and get going. Now don't worry, I did this to myself, its not a general college thing, although several people have assignments due and group projects at this time, most of them do not procrastinate like me.
In my defense I am working full time and going to school full time also, which is completely do-able, though I will admit that there are more nights than not where I just want to sleep, and reading or doing other work is the least of my concerns, making more work for myself overall. I do not suggest this, not at all actually, though I did the same thing in high school. Shameless plug but, if I were you going into college, I would take SU-101 to learn skills to help you avoid these habits, and you are lucky too, because it was not offered when I was a freshman, or I would have been all about that.
Luckily however turkey day is right around the corner and I will be relaxing for a long weekend! Tonight however is the International Thanksgiving Dinner! its put on my International Student Assosiation and Program Council, and its only a dollar or a canned good for a great turkey dinner! Ok, well maybe after that i will be able to write a longer blog to catch you guys up! til then... i gotta run to class!

Halloween and elections!
So last week was Halloween! and it was so much fun to see everyone all dressed up and whatnot. Even walking down the street in costume and running into everyone else in some of the most creative costumes. My friend saw someone who was a "work in progress" and wore all white and had people paint on her to complete the 'work.' These are some pictures...
and... OBAMA WON THE ELECTION!!!! This was the first election I was able to vote in so I was super pumped to get to the poles! After voting, I had to work all afternoon, then I went to a friends house to watch the results come in. To move the night along my friend and his girlfriend cooked lamb, muscles, made maple muffins, and creme-brule. We were all so excited when we saw the results go in Obama's favor (it was a liberals and latte's shin-dig). I am so excited and proud to have helped make history. We are truly in the an amazing time of change and excitement. just think, we will go down in the history book, how cool?
